The Deputy Leader of Opposition

The role of the Deputy Leader of Opposition is to support the Leader of opposition. The role can vary depending on the person in the job and the party they are in, but generally they help the Leader of Opposition fulfill their duties. The Deputy Leader of Opposition also holds the role of a shadow Minister. As a member who also need to represent the people in their electorate constituency.

The Deputy Leader of Opposition is to:

  • Help the Leader of Opposition in developing and presenting policies for their team.
  • Helping the Leader of Opposition to manage the office of the Opposition.
  • Acting as the Leader of Opposition when the Leader of Opposition is not available (such as the Leader of Opposition is traveling overseas.
  • Fulfill the duties of the Leader of Opposition in specific duties as required.
  • Assist the Leader of Opposition in specific duties as required.
