COMMITTEE ON FISHERIES OCEAN AND MARITIME  AFFAIRS

The key responsibilities of Fisheries Ocean & Maritime Affairs are:

· To scrutinize government policies, programs and legislation related to fisheries and maritime affairs;

· To ensure the sustainable management and conservation of maritime resources, aligned with Vanuatu’s national interests and commitments;

· To safeguard the rights and interests of coastal and islands communities dependent on fisheries;

· To promote transparency, accountability, and good governance in the fisheries and maritime sectors;
